How to Plan Your Wedding at Walt Disney World, Florida
Thousands of couples choose Walt Disney World as their wedding destination, and the park offers many exciting venues for tying the knot and then enjoying an over-the-top celebration. If you’re looking for a memorable venue for your wedding, here’s what you need to do to plan your event at Walt Disney World.
Instructions
- Select the date and locate the right package with Disney Reservations. Book as early as possible. Reservations for holidays and other special calendar dates are often taken up to one to two years ahead of time. Friends and family members at the wedding can enjoy discounted rates at Walt Disney World resorts when you book a wedding package.
- Choose a theme. You can choose to become Cinderella for the night, or turn the wedding event into a scene from Aladdin.
Whatever your favorite Disney movie may be, choose a theme that you’ll never forget! - Reserve a Disney Fairytale Wedding package. This is almost a full-fledged production designed especially for the wedding couple. You’ll enjoy a candlelight dinner, fireworks show and take part in a dove-releasing ceremony as part of your event.
- Get your Florida marriage license. You’ll need to apply for this separately and have it ready before the wedding.
- Reserve a ride on Cinderella’s Glass Coach. This is already a part of most Fairytale Wedding packages, but you can reserve it as part of your customized wedding for a truly romantic tour of the Magic Kingdom.
- Book a Disney Caribbean Cruise. Many couples choose to exchange vows at the park, and then take a cruise as part of their honeymoon. Consider getting away from the wedding party immediately after the ceremony with a special cruise.
